HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) seeks models

The HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) seeks models who are Black/African American gay/bi/queer/same gender loving men, and women and men of trans experience, ages 18-50. Persons in any stage of social/medical transition are welcome. Each model will be paid a stipend of $400 for the entire day.

The photos will be used to advertise current and upcoming HIV prevention research studies, including the AMP Study. “AMP” stands for antibody mediation prevention, a new method being tested to see if it can prevent HIV infection. It is the first efficacy study for any method of HIV prevention that specifically includes transgender men. For more information about the study, visit http://www.ampstudy.org . Study slogans play off the ideas of “Get AMPed” and “Are you AMPed?” and will convey upbeat energy and fun. This is a global study, and ads will be displayed online and in print around the US, Peru, Brazil, and Switzerland. Models may be identified as gay/bi/queer/same gender loving men or women and men of trans experience by association with the text in the ad. Sample ad text.
